Once again, another year has flown by. It was a year of change, learning, experiencing, tough decisions, joy, and to sum it up... sanctification :) (2 Thessalonians 2:13).
Reading through my 2015 journals, I can clearly see God's hand weaving my life with many colorful and some coarse threads. I'll be honest with you, I envisioned my senior year to look differently. Having enough credits to graduate early by public school standards, I wanted to taste a bit of my lifelong dream to do missions work in Spain: living and working with missionaries in Madrid for a semester. When THAT fell apart, it took a bit for me to surrender it to God. Then, I determined to go to LS, the local public school. Even there, I did not have the picture-perfect senior year fun, easy classes. Then, to sum it up, the one college I'd set my heart on, Wheaton, didn't accept my Early Decision application, but put it in the low chance acceptance of the Regular Decision pool.
Yet through these (and more) circumstances, God has remained faithful, as He has for all of eternity. He is "my rock, my fortress, my deliverer, in whom I take refuge...my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." There were many times when "in my distress I called to the Lord...my cry came before Him, into His ears...[and] He parted the heavens and came down...He rescued me because He delighted in ME!" (Psalm 18).
Oh friends! THIS is glorious, HE is the meaning of life, HIS power sustains and heals us, and HIS love will never forsake us.
Photography-wise, I have learned to be content with my business's growth rate and some equipment issues. Yet, God has still blessed me bountifully! I had over 30 photoshoots, including jobs and experience in 5 weddings!
I can't wait to see what 2016 holds!
Without further ado, here are some of my favorite pictures from 2015!
Blessings,
Julia
